random thoughts

It’s been 3 or so months since I had my hair rebond-ed … and I am beginning to feel the short curly roots of my hair growing back each day! … hmmm … early warning signs of my ~Php8K investment going to waste! (well, at least not totally – I got to enjoy 3 full months (and counting) of straight-hair bliss! … got to enjoy (un)solicited compliments of how I look better with my hair straight and all! And oh yeah … got to enjoy worry-free mornings when I am 100% sure that I won’t have a bad-hair day! ;=) haha … (actually, if you know me … I’m not really someone who worries about bad hair days … not because I have it everyday during my pre-rebond days … I just don’t care much about my outside appearance! I guess I lack in the vanity department! … ahhh … not anymore! I’m a late bloomer … super late bloomer! ;=)

But now it’s coming back and I guess no matter how much money I spend and how hard I try to conceal the curly (curly-kinky!) hair God has blessed me with … it will always come back! Like clockwork! — nothing has been more certain in my life! And I guess it’s true with everything else in life … some things are really just meant to be … no matter how much you hide it or hide from it … no matter how much you camouflaged it and pretend that it’s not there … it will always come back … sooner or later … because it’s simply meant to be! No profound explanation! No highfaluting reason! And this is a powerful realization! And liberating! To know that there are some things that you can’t fight … that you’re not meant to fight … that they will just happen … sooner or later! It seems ironic … but knowing what you can and cannot control … knowing what simply happens and what you can make happen … is power!

Oooppss, I’m getting ahead of myself again! Wherever that power realization came from! ;=) haha … I guess I’m one of those people (with nothing better to do!) who insists on getting profound insights on simple things in life! Call it a hobby … a real pathetic hobby! (but i enjoy it nonetheless! and i guess you do, too huh! because you’re reading this! ;=) hehe
