If Aha! moments are those moments of inspired enlightening and grand realizations … I guess Ooopps! moments are quiet the opposite: they are moments of ‘inspired’ stupidity and utter mindless blab!

I had mine a few days ago (ahhh, I have a lot of them!!! ;=) but this one I guess is worth blog space and a good 15minutes of my time!) … I was shopping for something for our exchange gift and the last-minute crammer that I am … I ended up buying something in starbucks (ah, that’s the only store with decent merchandise that’s open until late!). Which was fine with me … I wouldn’t mind receiving one of those cute tumblers and mugs (hint! Hint! ;=). So there I was … browsing through the open display and can’t decide between two items! (er … the Php300 limit was really helpful in narrowing my choices … hmmm … most of the items were priced at Php1K … like that stainless mug with a red leather strap in the middle … again, hint hint! hahahaha ;=) I probably looked really confused because the barista guy approached me and gave me the sales pitch … he said that I can get a free drink … any size, any flavor, either hot or cold with every purchase of the coffee mugs (except those ceramic ones and none for the water tumblers!). Just then, I told the guy that it can’t be good … I don’t think I can get the free drink because the mug is a gift … I can’t very well use it for my free drink, right? What, I’ll clean it afterwards before wrapping it again? And then that’s when the guy said … ah, we won’t use the mug that you bought … we’ll put the free drink in one of those other plastic containers! ;=) hehe I bet the guy thought I was nuts and he got a good laugh that night at my expense! Well, I did … I can’t help but smile the whole drive back to Cavite … which was a good 45minutes! ;=)

Hmmm … where the hell did my comment come from? They have hundreds of those other plastic containers!!! And what’s up with cute baristas anyway? Stupid marketing ploy??! ;=)
